Today’s announcement from the Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation is to let you know about a call for registered teachers to work with international understanding in education.

As part of its Project for the Promotion of International Understanding Education, the Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation dispatches educators from overseas, or Japanese educators who have been active overseas, to schools and civic centers around the prefecture, to help the people of Fukuoka know, and think, more about the world.

Wouldn't you like to share yourself and your country at elementary schools, middle schools, and civic centers? There are lots of people in Fukuoka who do not know a lot about the country from which you come! They don't know your language, food, the areas of culture that are similar to or different from those of Japan...come share your experience! By sharing yourself and helping the people of Fukuoka to grow, you will too!

Foreign lecturers do not need special skills, only the ability to communicate in Japanese. In addition, they need a valid work visa, and/or a shikakugai-katsudou-kyoukasho, which is a type permission to work in a field other than that permitted by your visa status.

If you have thought, "I want people to know my country!" or "I want to interact more with the local people!" then this opportunity may be right for you!

福岡県国際交流センターでは、県内の学校や市民センターなどに

外国人講師や海外での活動や生活体験のある日本人講師を派遣・紹介し、世界のことを知り、

考えるきっかけとなる「国際理解教育推進事業」を行っています。

福岡県内の小学校や中学校、市民センターなどで、あなたの国の事、あなた自身の事を伝えてみませんか？

あなたの国の事を、まだよく知らない人が福岡には沢山います。

あなたの国の言葉や食べ物、日本と似ている事や違う事、あなた自身の経験などを紹介しませんか？

学校や、市民センターに行って地域の人々と触れ合うことで、あなたの世界が広がりますよ。

外国人講師には、特別なスキルは必要ありません。日本語でコミュニケーションがとれ、

労働可能なビザ、または資格外活動許可書を持っている方であれば、どなたでもなれます。

「自分の国をみんなに知ってほしい」「地域の人々と触れ合いたい」そういう思いがある方、
