Today's news from Fukuoka prefecture introduces the Japan Through Diplomat’s Eyes Photo Exhibition 2014.

This is a unique, experimental-style exhibit expressing what Japan is through photos taken by foreign diplomats. The project began in 1998, making this the 17th year for the exhibition, but the first time it will take place in Fukuoka.

The exhibit has gotten a lot of media coverage in the past, and has the attention of everyone from the general public to that of professional photographers.

One could say that diplomats are mentally acute observers stationed in a country for work. While on assignment they garner vast experience as they visit various areas of the country, and experience and share in its problems. They photograph these experiences to help report the sentiment of their experiences back to their home countries. It is these photos that comprise the exhibit. In this year's event, 67 diplomats from 37 different countries and regions participated, submitting pictures on the theme Cool Japan!

The Japan Through Diplomat’s Eyes Photo Exhibition 2014 will be held at Kokusaihiroba, located on the third floor of ACROS Fukuoka, in Tenjin, in the Chuo ward of Fukuoka city, from Friday, February 20th through Thursday, February 26th, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Admission is free of charge.

今天介绍「日本大使们的视线写真展2014」的消息。

该写真展是在日外交官们记录的日本、通过写真来表现的一项有意思的活动。自1998年创办以来这次是第17届、首次在福冈举行。

该写真展受到了一般人士到专业人士的广泛关注、通过媒体的宣传而引人注目。外交官是所在国家敏锐的观察者。在任期间和当地人接触，感受当地人悲欢苦乐　　他们的祖国人非常希望了解这些，所以外交官们便用相机拍下这些经历，这就是该写真展的特点

本次以「COOL Japan!」为题，有37个国家和地区共67名名外交挂参加。

「日本大使们的视线写真展2014」举办时间是2月20日（星期五）-2月26日（星期四），上午10点到晚上7点，地点在福冈市中央区天神アクロス福冈3F「国家广场」、入场免费。

오늘은 ‘닛폰-대사들의 시선2014’ 사진전 개최에 대해 알려드립니다.

이 사진전은 각국의 재일외교관이 포착한 일본의 모습을 사진을 통해 표현하는

특이한 시도입니다. 1998년 처음 개최된 이래 이번에 17회째를 맞이했으며,

후쿠오카현에서는 처음 개최합니다.

이 사진전은 일반에서 사진전문가에 이르기까지 폭넓게 관심을 갖고 있으며,

지금까지 여러 매스컴에도 화제를 제공해 왔습니다.

직업상 외교관은 주재하는 나라의 날카로운 관찰자라고 할 수 있습니다.

재임 중에 그 나라 각지를 방문해 사람들의 생활을 접하고 문제를 공유하면서

경험을 쌓습니다. 그리고 그 경험이 각 외교관의 모국에 대한 관심사로써

사진에 투영된다는 점이 이번 사진전의 특징이라고 할 수 있습니다.

이번에는 ‘COOL Japan!’을 테마로 37개 나라와 지역, 67명의 외교관이 참가했습니다.

‘닛폰-대사들의 시선사진전2014’ 개최기간은 2월20일(금)부터 2월26일(목)까지로

시간은 오전10시부터 오후7시까지이며, 장소는 후쿠오카시 주오구 덴진

아크로스 후쿠오카 3층 ‘고쿠사이히로바’. 입장은 무료입니다.

今日は「にっぽんー大使たちの視線2014」写真展開催のお知らせです。

この写真展は、在日の各国外交官がとらえた日本の姿を、

写真芸術を通じて表現するというユニークな試みです。

1998年に初めて開催され今回で17回目を迎え、このたび福岡県で初めて開催致します。

この写真展は、一般から写真専門の方々まで幅広く興味をもたれ、

これまで多くのメディアに話題を提供してきました。

外交官は職業上駐在する国の鋭敏な観察者といえます。

在任中に、その国の各地を訪れ人々の生活に触れ、問題を共有し、経験を積みます。　　

その経験が、各外交官の母国への関心事として写真に投影されるのがこの写真展の特徴といえます。

今回は「COOL Japan!」をテーマに、37の国と地域、67名の外交官が参加しました。

「にっぽんー大使たちの視線写真展2014」の開催期間は、

2月20日（金）から2月26日（木）で、時間は10時から19時まで、

場所は福岡市中央区天神、アクロス福岡3F「こくさいひろば」、入場料は無料です。
