On Saturday, March 14th, you can have the chance to run at the Higashi Hirao Park Hakata no Mori Athletic Stadium and its surrounding area that is normally reserved for only athletes, in the Hakata no Mori Run 2015.

Registration begins on the day of the event, starting at 8:30 in the morning. From 10 AM, parents, and children of elementary school age and order, will run 1 km. The junior high school girls’ 2km run, boys’ junior high school 3 km run, as well as the 5 km run for women of high school age and older, and the 5 km run for men of high school age and older, follow.

Participation costs 500 yen for elementary and junior high school students and 1,000 yen for those of high school age and older.

To participate, please send an email explaining your name, age, gender, academic school year, address, telephone number and the event in which you wish to run to: rikujyo.hakatanomori@midorimachi.jp. The application deadline is today.

And, since the event takes place on White Day, presents for female participants will be prepared! Don’t miss out!

And, next there is a notice regarding motorbike and light motor vehicle registration.

Those owning motorbikes and light motor vehicles are required to notify the city’s designated offices in the event of theft, change of owner’s name, change of household address (moving), sale or disposal of their vehicle.

Please take note that if notification of changes is not filed as of April 1st, the owner on record is responsible for paying the full amount of tax for the year, for the registered vehicle. If you have not made any notifications that may be necessary, please be sure to do so by Wednesday, April 1st. The office which you should provide notification varies depending on the vehicle.

Please inquire about small motorbikes and special vehicles with exhaust of 125 cc or less at your local ward office’s Tax Imposition Section. Motorbikes and light vehicles with emissions between 125cc and 250cc should call the Japan Light Motor Vehicles and Motorcycle Association at 092-641-0431. Motorbikes with emissions in excess of 250cc should contact the Fukuoka Transport Branch Office at 050-5540-2078.

The office becomes very busy at the end of March, so be sure to make your notification early on!
