The Fukuoka International Association is currently seeking one Counselor for Foreign Residents. Applications are being accepted through Wednesday, January 15. Applications for the position will be accepted as long as they are postmarked no later than the application closing date. Please note that applications from overseas must be received by the Fukuoka International Association no later than the application closing date.

Applicants should have language proficiency qualifications and clinical counseling qualifications. They will be expected to help at Rainbow Plaza providing personal counseling support for resident foreigners of Fukuoka and related parties. Please see the recruitment ad for further information.

Every first and third Thursday of the month, there is a “Japanese Chat Salon” held in the Fukuoka International Association large conference room on the 5th floor of the Fukuoka City Hall’s North Annex. It’s a place where foreigners studying Japanese in Fukuoka and local Japanese volunteers can get together in a relaxed atmosphere and talk.

Sessions start at 1:30 PM and run through 5 PM. The first Japanese Chat Salon for 2014 will take place on January 16th. Participants are free to come and go as they please during the session, and participation is free! Reservations are not necessary, however if you plan to attend in a group of 5 or more people please contact the Salon prior to your arrival.
