The 17th International Japanese Speech Contest will be held on Saturday, October 5th in the lecture hall on the fifteenth floor of Fukuoka City Hall in Tenjin in the Chuo Ward. Doors open at 12:30 in the afternoon, and the contest begins at 1pm and is planned to finish around 4pm in the afternoon.
The contest will be divided into two sections with speeches by students of Japanese classes of the Fukuoka Metropolitan area and speeches by students of Japanese schools of the Fukuoka Metropolitan area. The Japanese Class section will be evaluated by judges and votes from the audience. There will also be dance performances given by International students. Entrance is free and reservations are not required so please feel free to invite a friend and come along. We look forward to seeing you.

The Fukuoka City International Center would also like to let you know about free consultation regarding immigration, residency, and nationality matters, made available by the Fukuoka City International Foundation at the Fukuoka City International Center.

To maintain a safe and comfortable life in Japan, it is necessary for foreign residents to have correct knowledge about residency status and term of stay regulations. Are there any questions or concerns you have? A gyousei-shoshi, or administrative lawyer, from the Fukuoka Bar Association who specializes in such matters will answer your questions and offer consultation about topics such as the Japanese immigration system and residency status.

Consultations are held every second Sunday of the month, in October that will be the 13th. They are offered from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Though please note, you are required to register by 3:30 PM.
There are English and Chinese translators present, and so consultation in English, Chinese and Japanese does not require a reservation. And, confidentiality is guaranteed. Please feel at ease to make use of these services, no matter how simple a question you may have.

The Fukuoka City International Center is open weekdays from 8:45 AM until 6:00 PM.

举行日为10月5日周六，12点30分开场，下午1点开演，预计下午四点结束。

本次比赛，由来自福冈都市圈的日语教室学习者的演讲和来自福冈都市圈日语学校学生演讲两部分构成。日语教室部的评分，由评委审查和到场者的投票决定。此外，还有留学生的名族舞表演。
免费入场，不需要预约，请带着朋友一起来参加吧。
