Fukuoka city opened the “Startup Cafe” on Saturday, October 11th. “Startup” refers to starting new projects and business in society, thereby changing society itself.

The Startup Cafe brings you all kinds of information about startup endeavors. People interested in establishing a new startup undertaking, as well as those interested in supporting startups, can get to together in a relaxed setting and exchange information. It’s just the place for finding that new idea or business!

It also functions as a place where one can get personnel recruitment support, offering a venue for new businesses to find personnel, as well as provides consultation on employment and second opportunities. Coordinators with real-life experience and success in the growth of small to medium-sized businesses can offer a variety of services.

It also provides information regarding financial subsidies, support with business administration strategy, the introduction of private business owners, as well as information about the establishment of prefectural, as well as national, businesses. Entrepreneurs, investors, and businesses can come together through the network available at Startup Cafe.

It not only supports those looking to establish new businesses, but it also introduces interested parties to business experts such as Small and Medium Enterprise Management Consultants as well as the Japan Finance Corporation, an engine for public finance. Under national policy, Fukuoka has been designated as a special business establishment and job creation area. And, this month, the national Employment and Labor Consultation Center will be annexed to the Startup Cafe. This is a facility you are only going to find in our area.

The Startup Cafe is located on the 3rd floor of the TSUTAYA BOOK STORE TENJIN, 1-chome, in Imaizumi, in the Chuo Ward of Fukuoka city. It's open year-round from 10 AM through 10 PM daily, with the exception of end-of-year and beginning-of-year holidays.
