The Fukuoka citizens' Hakata Dontaku Port Festival will be held on May 3rd and 4th. Hakata Dontaku is said to have originated with the "Hakata Matsubayashi" parade, an event celebrated by common people for the New Year 839 years ago. Today, about 35,000 people participate in the event itself, and about 2 million people gathering to watch it, the most popular festival in Japan during Golden Week.

In "Dontaku Square", stretching from the area around Gofuku-machi subway station on Meiji Dori Avenue to Fukuoka City Hall, Dontaku groups, marching bands and "Flower Cars" will participate in the parade, and performance stages will be set up in about 30 places around the city. At the finale on the 4th, there will be the grand dance called “So Odori” in which anyone is free to participate at Dontaku Square and the festival’s main stage in the Fureai Hiroba Plaza on the west side of the City Hall. Also, roses and azaleas will be at their best in May! At Fukuoka City Botanical Garden in Chuo Ward, the "Spring Rose Festival" is being held from April 28th to May 20th. About 250 species with 1,100 roses in bloom. During the period, there will be "rose guide" volunteers to help visitors see the sights of the park. You will also be able to vote for your favorite roses! Please join us.

And, at the Hanahata Horticultural Park at the foot of Aburayama Mountain, you can see various flowers, such as 4,500 azaleas and mikan flowers. Fresh fruit from the orchard will be sold at the shop in the park so be sure to check it out.

Both parks are open from 9 am to 5 pm, and closed for holiday on Mondays. If Monday is a holiday the following weekday will be a holiday. However, Tuesday May 1, the Fukuoka City Botanical Garden will be a temporarily opened. And, on "Greenery Day" on May 4, Fukuoka City Zoological and Botanical Garden will be opened and entrance will be free.

And from May 23rd, the Fukuoka City Flower Arrangement Exhibition will be held.

During the exhibition period, approximately 200 works in total will be exhibited in the "Cultural Gallery" and the "Foyer Gallery" on the 2nd floor of ACROS Fukuoka. Also, 12 masterpieces will be lined up for display on the 1st floor "Atrium".

In addition, on May 23, 24, 26 and 27 from 5 pm to 7 pm, the first "Night Ikebana Exhibition" will be held as a special event this year at the "Cultural Gallery" on the second floor. Enjoy the darkened venue for a slightly different atmosphere from daytime.

오늘은 5월 여행 정보를 알려드립니다.

후쿠오카의 시민축제인 ‘하카타 돈타쿠 항구축제’가 5월3일과 4일에 열립니다.

‘하카타 돈타쿠’는 839년 전에 시작된 신년 축하 민속행사 ‘하카타 마쓰바야시’가

그 기원이라 전해집니다. 지금은 약 3만5천명이 참가하고 골든위크 기간 중 일본에서 가장 많은 인파가 몰리는 200만명 참가 규모의 축제로 알려져 있습니다.

메이지도리의 지하철 고후쿠마치역 주변에서 후쿠오카 시청에 이르는

‘돈타쿠 광장’에서는 돈타쿠대와 행진대, 꽃자동차 등이 퍼레이드에 참가하고,

시내 약 30곳에 무대가 설치됩니다.

4일 피날레에는 돈타쿠 광장과 시청 서쪽 후레아이 광장의 본무대에서

즉석참가가 가능한 ‘봉오도리’ 무용도 펼쳐집니다.

5월은 장미와 철쭉 등도 아름다운 시기입니다.

주오구 후쿠오카시 식물원에서 4월28일부터 5월20일까지 ‘봄철 장미축제’를 개최하고 있습니다. 약 250종류, 1100그루의 장미가 아름답게 핍니다.

기간 중에는 자원봉사안내자가 식물원 내를 안내하는 ‘장미 가이드’를 개최합니다. 좋아하는 장미의 인기투표도 실시하니 참가해 주세요.

아부라야마 산 중턱에 위치한 하나하타 원예공원에서는

약 4,500그루의 철쭉과 귤꽃 등 다양한 꽃을 감상할 수 있으며,

매점에서는 공원내 과수원에서 딴 신선한 과일을 판매합니다.

앞서 소개해 드린 공원들은 오전 9시부터 오후 5시까지 영업하며, 월요일이 휴원일입니다. 만약 월요일이 공휴일인 경우 휴원일은 그 다음 평일입니다.

한편, 후쿠오카시 식물원은 5월1일 화요일 임시 개원하고,

5월4일 녹색의 날인 ‘미도리노히’ 동식물원은 무료 개원합니다.

그리고 5월23일부터는 꽃꽂이 제전으로 후쿠오카시 화도전을 개최합니다.

기간 중에는 아크로스 후쿠오카 2층 ‘교류갤러리’와 ‘메시지 호와이에’에

총 200여점의 작품을 전시하며, 1층 ‘아트리움’에는 12점의 대형작품을 전시합니다.

그리고 5월23일, 24일, 26일, 27일 오후5시부터 7시까지 2층 교류갤러리에서

올해 첫 스페셜행사인 ‘나이트 이케바나전’을 개최합니다.

福冈市民的狂欢节活动「博多冬打鼓港湾节」在５月３日・４日举行。

「博多冬打鼓」据说是起源于８３９年前欢庆新年的民间活动「博多松ばやし」。现在成为了有约3万5千人参加，黄金周期间日本最热闹的集中了200万群众观看的活动。

从明治大道地铁吴服站到福冈市役所「冬打鼓广场」的路上，有冬打鼓队，狂欢游行队、花车等的沿街表演，还有约30个临时舞台表演节目。4号最后一天，在冬打鼓广场和市役所西侧广场上有可以自由参加的集体舞「総おどり」。详情　http://www.dontaku.fukunet.or.jp

5月是玫瑰和杜鹃花盛开的时候。

中央区的市植物园4月28号-5月20号举行「春天玫瑰花展」。约250种1100棵玫瑰花展现在您的面前。有志愿者为你义务解说。可以选自己喜欢的最漂亮的玫瑰花参加投票。

油山脚下的花田园艺公园，有约4500棵杜鹃花和橘子花等展出，还有园内采摘的新鲜水果出售。

以上两处都是早上9点开到下午5点，休园日每周一，如果周一是节日顺延到第二天。　但是市植物园5月1号星期二特别开园，5月4号的「绿色日みどりの日」市植物园免费开放。

5月23号开始举行插花展盛典福冈市华道展。为此，アクロス福冈2楼「交流室交流ギャラリー」和「メッセージホワイエ」展出约200件作品。1楼「アトリウム」展出12件精彩作品。

５月２３・２４・２６・２７日下午5点到晚上７点、２楼的交流室交流ギャラリー举行今年第一次特别活动「夜间插花展ナイトいけばな展」。在暗下来的灯光下看到的花的表情和白天日光下的又不一样，请大家一定来感受一下
