Fukuoka city provides a child allowance to households to provide for stability and support the healthy development of children. The allowance is intended for households with children not yet graduated from junior high school. Payments are made by bank transfer in three instalments, occurring in October, February of next year, and then in June. Each payment covers 4 months. Beneficiaries must submit a Children’s Allowance Current Situation Report in June every year in order to claim the allowance.

If you are a beneficiary, please fill in the necessary information on the Children’s Allowance Current Situation Report sent in early June, and send it together with the attached document to the "Fukuoka City Children's Allowance Call Center". The deadline is July 2nd. If there is no submission, please be aware that allowances scheduled to be paid after October will not be paid.

If there are any deficiencies in the documentation, you will be contacted by the call center. A notification of Child Allowance Subsidy Payments will be sent in early October. Also, those requesting a child allowance who are new to Fukuoka city because they have relocated from another city, or have had a new birth in their home, must register to qualify at the Child Rearing Support Section window in their district.

Next, Fukuoka city would like to let you know about heatstroke and infectious diseases that need special attention in the coming summer.

Heatstroke can occur not only outdoors, but indoors as well. Elderly people and infants need special attention. Elderly people tend to have a slow sense of temperature change, and must be careful about rising temperatures. Please note that infants may develop heatstroke even in short periods of time. If you experience symptoms such as headache, dizziness, or nausea, let your body cool, hydrate yourself and consume sodium. Take it easy, and if you do not recover, see a doctor at a medical institution.

For prevention of heatstroke, it is important to regularly drink liquids in small amounts, and replenish salt and water lost when sweating. Please pay attention to heatstroke information on television and radio, and be sure not to overexert yourself. Also, when you go out, use a hat or a parasol.

And, you should also be aware that in the summer time, various infectious diseases are prevalent as well. There is danger that sickness can even become worse than usual due to exhaustion from heat. Please pay attention to your body’s condition carefully, and gargle well and wash your hands after going out and before meals. If you have symptoms such as fever, rash, or sore throat, please consult a doctor as soon as possible.

When going abroad, to avoid infectious diseases carried by mosquitoes, such as dengue fever and malaria, use insect repellents and refrain from exposing skin by wearing long sleeves and long pants.

열사병은 야외뿐만 아니라 실내에서도 다수 발생합니다.
고령자와 영유아는 특히 주의가 필요합니다. 고령자는 온도 변화에 대한 감각이 둔해지는 경향이 있으므로 기온 상승에 주의합시다. 영유아는 단시간에 발병하는 경우가 있사오니 주의해 주세요.

두통이나 현기증, 구토 증상이 나타나면 몸을 식히고 수분과 염분을 취하도록 합시다. 무리하지 말고 쉬며, 회복되지 않는 경우에는 의료기관에서 진료를 받으세요.

예방을 위해서는 자주 수분을 섭취하고 땀을 흘렸을 때에는 수분과 함께 염분도 섭취합시다. 텔레비전이나 라디오를 통해 열사병 정보를 확인하고 무리한 생활을 피하시기 바랍니다. 그리고 외출할 때는 모자나 양산을 사용합시다.

그리고 여름철은 다양한 감염증이 유행하는 시기입니다. 더위로 인한 체력소모로 인해 증상이 악화될 위험이 있사오니 몸관리에 주의하고, 외출 후 또는 식사 전에 반드시 양치질, 손씻기를 합시다.
발열이나 발진, 목의 통증 등의 증상이 나타난 경우에는 서둘러 의료기관에서 진료를 받아보세요.

외국을 방문할 때는 뎅기열이나 말라리아 등 모기를 매체로 하는 감염증을 피하기 위해 모기약 등을 적극적으로 사용하고 긴소매나 긴바지를 착용해 피부 노출을 삼가바랍니다.

为了预防中暑，注意勤喝水,出汗后注意补充水分的同时还要补充盐份,注意收听电视广播里的气象消息，外出时戴上帽子,撑上伞.
另外炎热的夏季细菌活跃容易得传染病，天热体力下降会增加病的严重程度，所以首先要注意身体变化，其次外出或饭前好好漱口洗手，如果出现发烧，出疹子，嗓子疼的症状，尽早就医。
去海外的时候，注意登革热，疟疾等蚊叮虫咬引起的传染病，积极使用防虫剂，穿上长袖衣服长腿裤子等，注意预防。
