The Home Visit Program is currently accepting applicants.

The Home Visit Program introduces Japanese families to international students enrolled in colleges, junior colleges, and language schools in the Fukuoka metropolitan area, or foreign nationals who have a guarantor organization located in Japan, providing the opportunity for them to meet regularly and deepen mutual friendship and understanding.

Participants visit Japanese host families at their home and enjoy time together, such as conversation over meals. Each participant-family pair is free to decide on where and how they would like to spend time together. In principle, the period of exchange between host families and participants is from November until January. There are openings for twenty participants. Those interested should contact the Fukuoka City International Center by September 10th. A meeting date will be set, and participants are to bring their application, school ID, and Foreign Residency Card with them to the interview. Those who are not students will need to bring a request letter from the guarantor organization. Applications can be downloaded from the homepage and may be filled out during the interview meeting.

The Fukuoka City International Center would also like to let you know about free consultation regarding immigration, residency, and nationality matters, made available by the Fukuoka City International Foundation at the Fukuoka City International Center.

To maintain a safe and comfortable life in Japan, it is necessary for foreign residents to have correct knowledge about residency status and term of stay regulations. Are there any questions or concerns you have? A gyouseishoshi, or administrative lawyer, from the Fukuoka Gyoseishoshi Lawyers Association who specializes in such matters will answer your questions and offer consultation about topics such as the Japanese immigration system and residency status.

Consultations are held every second Sunday of the month, in August that will be the 12th. They are offered from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Please note you are required to register by 3:30 PM. There are English and Chinese interpreters present, and so consultation in English, Chinese and Japanese does not require a reservation. For consultation in other languages, please contact the Fukuoka City International Center at least one week prior to your visit, as an interpreter might be arranged.
And, confidentiality is guaranteed. Please feel at ease to make use of these services, no matter how simple a question you may have.

【家庭访问活动】参加者募集的消息。
【家庭访问活动】是说，为福冈都市圈内的大学、短期大学、语言学校的在籍留学生，或者有日本国内可作身元担保团体的其他身份的外国人，介绍日本人家庭进行交流的活动。交流内容有 去日本人家里做客，一起吃饭聊天等，形式自由。不给双方增加负担的轻松的形式，加深相互之间的友谊和理解。
活动时间是今年11月到明年1月共3个月，共招20名。详情可参阅网页。
希望参加的请在9月10号以前打电话到福冈市国际会馆来，商定面谈时间。定好的时间来的时候，请带上申请表，学生证，在留卡。非留学生身份的，需要带来身元保证团体的委托信，申请表可在网上下载，可以在面谈时当面填写。
