Every first and third Thursday of the month, there is a Japanese Chat Salon being held in the Fukuoka City International Foundation large conference room on the 5th floor of Fukuoka City Hall’s North Annex. It’s a place where foreign students studying Japanese in Fukuoka, including students of Japanese language schools, and local Japanese volunteers can get together in a relaxed atmosphere and talk.

Sessions start at 1:30 PM and run through 5 PM. The next session will take place on April 2nd. Participants are free to come and go as they please during the session, and participation is free! Reservations are not necessary, however if you plan to attend in a group of 5 or more people please contact the Salon prior to your arrival.

Anyone who wants to use Japanese they have studied previously, or just talk with a native Japanese person, this is your chance!

Rainbow Plaza would like to let you know about additional enrollment for the 2015 Foreign Student Taught Language Classes program in which you can learn languages of Asia and Asia-Pacific countries and regions. Currently, the following classes are looking for students!

The classes are:

Wednesday nighttime classes on Nepalese and Burmese.

Friday nighttime classes on Mongolian.

Saturday morning classes on Arabic and Chinese.

Saturday afternoon classes on Bengali and Portuguese.

Saturday nighttime classes on Cambodian and Hindu.

Seats are available of a first come, first served basis and classes will be closed when seat limits are filled.
