The Nationwide Ｇibier Festival ／ The Fukuoka Gibier Fair

Do you know the word "Gibier"? It's French, and refers to the meat from wild game. This winter, there are a lot of events in Fukuoka prefecture related to gibier.

The first is the "The Nationwide Gibier Festival" held by Fukuoka prefecture. Forty gibier restaurants, stretching all the way from Hokkaido to Kyushu, will be gathered in the Tenjin Central Park, allowing you to experience French and Italian-style wild game dishes, along with curries and a variety of other gibier dishes. The event is scheduled for February 12th and 13th.

The second event is the "The Fukuoka Gibier Fair". Held by the Fukuoka Gibier Study Group, which is composed of a group of restaurants and diners, this year's event will be the third time it's been held. Eateries from around Fukuoka prefecture will be serving up their very own special gibier dishes, capturing the hearts of those who come to feast.

The number of shops participating in this year's event outnumbers those of the past. 42 shops will participate across the prefecture for one month, from February 14th until March 13th.

Currently, in agricultural areas, farms are troubled by wild animals eating and destroying crops. The number of Japanese inoshishi wild boar, hunted as a way to prevent such damage in Fukuoka prefecture, ranks fourth in the nation! This event is held with the dual purpose of promoting gibier consumption to prevent agricultural damage and to promote use of natural food resources. 大家听说过『ジビエ』吗？

ジビエ是法语、意思是狩猎捕捉到的野生动物的肉。今年冬天福冈县将举行多种有关ジビエ的活动。

第一个是福冈县主办的「全国ジビエ节」。从北海道到九州各色ジビエ料理店40家、汇聚天神中央公园，有法式、意式、咖喱等使用ジビエ做成的美食迎接各位。时间是2月12日和13日。

第二个活动是「福冈ジビエ展」。由饮食店组成的协会举办的这项活动已经是第三届了。活动独特的创意吸引着料理店，每年参加的店铺都有增加，今年来自县内42家饮食店参加的该项活动从2月14日开始到3月13日持续一个月时间。现在农田被野生动物破坏的现象很严重。福冈县为防止破坏农田捕捉野猪数量之多在全国排第四。县力争平衡处理防止农作物被破坏和资源利用、举办活动宣传，扩大ジビエ的利用。详情请参阅福冈县网站「鸟兽对策综合案内专栏」

여러분은 ‘지비에’를 알고 계신지요?

프랑스 말인 ‘지비에’는 사냥으로 잡은 야생조류와 육류를 말하는데

올 겨울 후쿠오카 현내 각지에서 지비에 관련 행사를 개최합니다.

그 중 하나는 후쿠오카현이 주최하는 ‘전국 지비에 축제’로 2월12일과 13일,

덴진추오공원에서 홋카이도에서부터 규슈까지의 다양한 지비에 요리점 40점포의

프렌치, 이탈리안, 카레 등 다채로운 지비에 요리를 맛볼 수 있습니다.

두번째는 ‘후쿠오카 지비에 페어’. 음식점 등이 조직한 후쿠오카 지비에 연구회 주최로

이번이 3번째 개최입니다. 현내 요리점이 독자적인 본격 지비에 요리를 판매합니다.

해마다 참가점포도 늘어 올 겨울에는 현내 각지 42개 점포가 2월14일부터 3월13일까지 한 달간 개최합니다.

지금 농업지대는 야생조류와 야생동물로 인한 농산물 피해가 심각합니다.
