The Foreign Student Taught Language Classes focus on teaching the languages of the Asia-Pacific region. Learn not only language in these language classes taught by overseas students, but about different regions’, and countries’, cultures and societies as well! Currently, classes in Arabic, Cambodian, Hindi, and Burmese are looking for students.

Classes are offered at the Fukuoka City International Center. It's just a 5 minute walk from the Fukuoka City Nakasu-Kawabata subway station. Classes start in May this year and run through February of next year! That's a full 10 month, 40 class opportunity! And it's only 32,400 yen, tax included, for a full year's courses!

And, the Fukuoka City International Center would also like to let you know about the Japanese Chatting Salon.

Every first and third Thursday of the month, there is a Japanese Chatting Salon being held in the large conference room of the Fukuoka City International Foundation on the 4th floor of the Fukuoka City International Center. It’s a place where foreign students studying Japanese in Fukuoka, including students of Japanese language schools, and local Japanese volunteers can get together in a relaxed atmosphere and talk. The next session is on April 5th!

Sessions start at 2:00 PM and run through 5:00 PM. Participants are free to come and go as they please during the session, and participation is free! Reservations are not necessary, however if you plan to attend in a group of 5 or more people please contact the Fukuoka International Student Support Association prior to your arrival. Anyone who wants to use Japanese they have studied previously, or just talk with a native Japanese person, this is your chance!
